Trend Focus: Prints
Summer’s in sight and Spring is almost here. And to celebrate, we’ve a few top tips for revamping your wardrobe. Spring is about colour and lots of it, and prints are the perfect trend to show this.
With prints, there’s so much to work with – you can be as understated or as out-there as you like! And nothing shows this more than the latest additions to our SS14 collection.
Offering a stylish selection of this season’s most fabulous printed dresses, tees and trousers, here are our favourite looks for SS14.
Tartan
Any style savvy shoppers will agree, there’s no escaping tartan this season. It’s everywhere, and we love it. Pretty, preppy and wonderfully Scottish, there are so many ways to wear it. From traditional red and black designs to bolder purple, greens and blues – the choice is endless.
Putting a unique spin on tartan, we chose this Lace Back Contrast Print Dress by Closet. Distinguishing itself from typical autumnal hues, its design is dominated by a busy floral print, offering only a sweet touch of tartan at the waist and hem.
We love the drama this dress brings to a SS14 wardrobe. Team with killer courts and an oversized patent clutch to really make a statement this spring.
Florals
You’ve probably guessed it; florals are a must-have for SS14. It’s a print that speaks for itself. Fresh, fun and flirty, it screams summer fun. Year in year out we hear florals are back and better than ever, and it’s true!
A floral favourite of ours is this Floral Chiffon Tea Dress by Lipsy. Cute, dainty and super girly, this pretty pink dress transcends trends and promises to look fabulous all summer long.
Playing to its delicate design, we’d avoid over-accessorising and keep jewellery to a minimum. Pair with gladiator sandals or ballerinas for a gorgeous, feminine look.
Stacey’s favourite?
As the new face and brand ambassador of Look Again, we had to find out which print the lovely Miss Solomon loved. And the results? Her fashion favourite, is the lace look. As shown by this Lace Drop Waist Dress by Darling, it’s a print that exudes stunning spring style.
Forget about dated, dowdy designs. Lace can be sweet and sexy, as Stacey shows. The dropped waist flatters the figure beautifully, creating that enviable hourglass figure. Couple with nude shoes to complete the look.
